A European-inspired bistro by the founders of For Five Coffee Roasters is slated to open in Virginia Square’s new nine-story office building next year.
The restaurant, The Angie, is expected to open in spring 2025, developer Skanska announced today (Friday). The “American French” concept includes 162 total seats, outdoor dining, a full-service bar, a barista bar, a lounge and a private dining room, according to a news release.
It’s located at 3901 Fairfax Drive, near Arlington Central Library.
The bistro’s breakfast, lunch and dinner menus feature European dishes with an “upscale, American twist.” Highlights include ricotta ravioli with kalamata olives and lobster frites with roasted garlic butter crust.
“The Angie will bring an elevated dining experience to 3901 Fairfax,” said Mark Carroll, Skanska’s executive vice president for commercial development in the D.C. area. “It will be the perfect spot for tenants and the surrounding community to enjoy exceptional food and hospitality with a relaxed and spacious alfresco feel.”
The bistro is a partnership between the founders of For Five Coffee Roasters, which opened a Rosslyn location earlier this year, and D.C.-based Balos Restaurant Group.
“We’re excited to announce the opening of The Angie, our third restaurant and first collaboration with Skanska,” said Stefanos Vouvoudakis, co-founder of The Angie and For Five. “This partnership has brought our vision of elevated American French dining to life.”
