W-L club ice-hockey team has four wins through first six matches

Through six matches, the Washington-Liberty Generals club ice-hockey team has had ups and downs — mostly ups.

To date, the high-school squad has compiled a 4-1-1 record. Two of the wins are shutouts by 5-0 and 4-0 scores. The Generals also have a 7-2 blowout victory, have tied a match at 4, have a close 4-2 win and lost by a tight 5-4 margin.

The Generals skate in the North Division of the Capital Scholastic Hockey League along with the Woodson/Robinson squad, which handed W-L its lone loss and stands 3-0.

Washington-Liberty next plays Dec. 13 at 8:10 p.m. the MedStar Capitals Iceplex.

The Generals’ leading scorer through six matches is Lucas Everett with four goals and six assists. Fletcher Black has four goals and five assists, Joel Vizard has four goals and three assists, Sami Wiriyotin has two goals and four assists, Brian Murphy has three goals and two assists, Nathan Myers and Constantine Cook each have two goals and Jackson Ullman has five assists.

In goal, Carson Peddie has a 3-0 record and Dylan Klein is 1-1-1.
