With less parking at Reagan National, Pentagon City mall advertises its spots

Can’t find parking at Reagan National Airport? Pentagon City’s mall may have a solution.

The Fashion Centre at Pentagon City is advertising its parking spots to travelers as substantial parking reductions go into effect at the nearby airport.

Temporary restrictions to Reagan National’s economy parking began Monday, with construction expected to displace as many as 1,100 of 2,680 spaces through 2026.

The Fashion Centre suggests that motorists squeezed for parking should consider the mall’s 4,463 parking spaces, which are available on-demand or by reservation.

“Fashion Centre at Pentagon City offers a convenient and cost-effective alternative just minutes (5 minutes, to be exact) from the airport, with parking rates mirroring DCA’s economy lot—starting at just $3 for the first two hours and $20 for a full day,” the mall tells ARLnow.

The mall’s parking garage is located at 850 Army Navy Drive, a short (mostly indoor) walk to and from the Pentagon City Metro station. Park-and-ride spots are available for $15 per day with online payment.

Economy parking at DCA is $19 per day, although the rate will increase to $25 on Monday, March 3. Rates for parking at airport garages 1 and 2 — which are closer to the terminal — will also increase, from $29 to $35 per day.

The airport encourages travelers to book parking spaces online “well in advance” to receive the lowest prices. Online bookings may be discounted as much as 25% compared to drive-up parking rates.
