A man was carjacked in Courthouse over the weekend, by a pair of pistol-packing suspects.
It happened around 3 a.m. Saturday near the Taco Bell Cantina, on the 2000 block of Wilson Blvd. The man was inside his parked Toyota Corolla with the windows down when a male and a female suspect approached, drew guns, punched him in the face, and stole his car, according to police and scanner traffic.
The car was found abandoned later that day, a few blocks away.

CARJACKING, 2025-05170056, 2000 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 3:08 a.m. on May 17, police were dispatched to the report of an assault with a weapon. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim was inside his parked vehicle with the windows down outside a business when the female suspect and male suspect approached. The suspects reached into the vehicle, grabbed the victim and demanded cash before they displayed firearms and struck the victim with them. The victim then exited the vehicle before the suspects entered his vehicle and fled the scene. The victim sustained serious, non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital. The female suspect is described as a heavy-set Black female, approximately 5’6”-5’8”, wearing all black clothing. The male suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 5’8”-5’9”, wearing all black clothing. Later the same day, the vehicle was recovered in the 1900 block of Key Boulevard. The investigation is ongoing.
Also in the crime report, a man struck a paramedic with a bottle in Ballston early Sunday, and a man in the Penrose neighborhood accidentally fired a gunshot into a neighboring apartment.

ASSAULT ON MEDIC, 2025-05180043, 900 block of N. Stafford Street. At approximately 3:49 a.m. on May 18, police were dispatched to assist fire personnel on a medical call for service. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect allegedly began acting disorderly and struck a medic with a bottle. Responding officers located the suspect on scene and took him into custody. During the course of the investigation, drug paraphernalia was recovered. [The suspect], 42, of No Fixed Address was arrested and charged with Assault on Fire/EMT, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Public Intoxication. He was held without bond.
RECKLESS HANDLING OF A FIREARM, 2025-05160186, 200 block of S. Veitch Street. At approximately 5:12 p.m. on May 16, police were dispatched to the report of shots heard. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect was allegedly handling a firearm inside a residence when the weapon discharged, causing damage to the interior of the home. Responding officers located the suspect on scene. No injuries were reported. Property damage to a neighboring home was located. [The suspect], 24, of Arlington, Va. was charged with Reckless Handling of a Firearm and released on a summons.
Around 5:20 a.m. this morning, meanwhile, a group of suspects smashed their way into the Virginia ABC store on N. Fillmore Street in Clarendon, making off with bottles of liquor.
Police later spotted the getaway car on Route 50 but did not give chase due to department policy.
