Adoptable Pet of the Week: Amoneth

Amoneth is a playful black kitty with, as the Animal Welfare League of Arlington (AWLA) said, “the heart of a hunter.”

The three-year-old black cat is available for adoption at the AWLA. The shelter’s website described him as a “perfect mix of action and relaxation.”

“This curious boy has a playful streak a mile wide — he’s always ready to chase after toys, pounce on anything that moves, and turn the living room into his personal playground,” the AWLA said. “Whether it’s a crinkly ball or a feather wand, if it moves, Amoneth’s on the case!”

Still, the shelter noted he isn’t all action and can be a relaxing companion as well.

“But when the zoomies are done, he shifts into full chill mode,” the shelter said. “His favorite way to unwind? Gazing out the window like a peaceful little philosopher, watching the world go by. Amoneth may have the heart of a hunter, but he also has the soul of a daydreamer.”

Amoneth can be visited at the AWLA (2650 South Arlington Mill Drive) during adoption hours.
