Arlington County police are investigating another series of car break-ins in the area of Washington Golf and Country Club.
It happened this past Friday morning, on the 3000 block of N. Glebe Road.
“The suspects forced entry into four vehicles in the area by smashing their driver or passenger side windows,” said ACPD. “The suspects stole clothing, cards and an undisclosed amount of cash from two of the vehicles before subsequently fleeing the scene in a black sedan.”
It’s the second vehicle break-in and theft series on the block in less than a month. In the middle of the day on June 5, someone broke into nearly a half dozen cars parked at the exclusive Arlington country club.

LARCENY FROM AUTO (Late) (Series), 2025-06270124, 3000 block of N. Glebe Road. At approximately 11:42 a.m. on June 27, police were dispatched to the late report of a larceny. It was determined on the morning of June 27, the suspects forced entry into four vehicles in the area by smashing their driver or passenger side windows. The suspects stole clothing, cards and an undisclosed amount of cash from two of the vehicles before subsequently fleeing the scene in a black sedan. The suspects are described as Black males. Suspect One is described as having a slim build, wearing a black t-shirt, black pants, light colored shoes and a face covering. Suspect Two is described as having a heavy build, wearing a white t-shirt, black pants, light colored shoes and a face covering. The investigation is ongoing.
Also in the crime report, police are investigating a brandishing in the Virginia Square area Saturday night and an attempted carjacking in the Green Valley neighborhood Friday afternoon.
BRANDISHING, 2025-06280221, N. Fairfax Drive at N. 10th Street. At approximately 11:26 p.m. on June 28, a patrol officer was flagged down by the victim who reported a brandishing. It was determined the victim was in a parking lot when he was approached by two male suspects. Suspect One struck the victim and Suspect Two brandished what appeared to be a firearm before both suspects fled from the scene. The victim entered his vehicle when Suspect Two reappeared struck the victim’s vehicle with what appeared to be a firearm before the victim drove away from the scene. No injuries were reported. A lookout was broadcast, and responding officers conducted a canvass of the area for the suspects yielding negative results. Suspect One is described as a light-skinned Hispanic male, approximately 18-26 years old, with shoulder-length black hair and a black beard, wearing glasses, a dark-colored t-shirt, grey jeans and grey sneakers. Suspect Two is described as a dark-skinned Black male, approximately 18-26 years old, 5’9”-6’0” tall, 150-175 pounds, with short dreadlocks, wearing grey pants and black shoes. The investigation is ongoing.
ATTEMPTED CARJACKING, 2025-06270149, 2600 block of Shirlington Road. At approximately 2:43 p.m. on June 27, police were dispatched to the report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined the victim was inside a parking garage working inside a vehicle when the suspect approached him, displayed a knife and demanded the keys to the vehicle. The suspect took keys from the victim and attempted to start the vehicle but was unsuccessful. The victim ran away from the scene and the suspect subsequently fled the scene in a black sedan. No injuries were reported. The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 18-22 years old, 5’8”-5’10”, 140-155 pounds, with black hair, wearing all black. The investigation is ongoing.
