A firefighter was hospitalized after battling a house fire in Ballston Wednesday evening.
The fire broke out in the attic of a home at the corner of Washington Blvd and N. Stuart Street.
“Units are on scene of a structure fire on the 1100 block of N Stuart St. Expect a large fire department response and avoid the area if possible,” the Arlington County Fire Department said on social media at 6 p.m.
The fire was reported to be extinguished by 6:15.
“Fire has been extinguished,” ACFD said. “No injuries to occupants. One firefighter was treated and transported to VHC with non-life-threatening injuries. Fire Marshals will be investigating the origin and cause.”
