Arlington County police are investigating gunfire early Sunday morning in the Hall’s Hill neighborhood.
The shot rang out around 3:30 a.m., according to an ACPD crime report, but no one was hurt and no damage was reported. While investigating, police arrested a Maryland man on drug related charges.

SHOTS FIRED, 2025-11090041, 2000 block of N. Edison Street. At approximately 3:30 a.m. on November 9, police were dispatched to the report of shots heard. Responding officers conducted a canvass of the area and located evidence of shots being fired. No victims or property damage were located. The circumstances into the events that preceded the discharge of a firearm remain under investigation. During the course of the investigation, police made contact with a male suspect on scene and searched a vehicle during which distribution amounts of marijuana and other suspected narcotics, as well as a scale and an undisclosed amount of cash, were recovered. [The suspect], 26, of Lanham, MD, was arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana and Possession with Intent to Distribute Controlled Substance.
Also in the crime report, a Virginia man was charged with assaulting police and trying to take an officer’s gun. It happened Saturday in the Ashton Heights neighborhood, while the man was being arrested for allegedly being drunk in public, according to ACPD.
ASSAULT ON POLICE, 2025-11080113, N. Oakland Street at 5th Street N. At approximately 3:25 p.m on November 8, police were dispatched to the report of a suspicious person. Responding officers observed a suspect with an open container of alcohol and determined he was intoxicated in public. While attempting to take him into custody, the suspect kicked and attempted to disarm an officer while making threatening statements. The suspect was taken into custody following the arrival of additional officers. No injuries were reported. [The suspect], 38, of Palmyra, VA., was arrested, and charged with Assault on Police, Attempted Disarming of a Law Enforcement Officer and Public Intoxication.
In a previous crime report, meanwhile, a man burglarized several apartments in Rosslyn overnight while those inside were sleeping.
BURGLARY (Series) (Late), 2025-11060095/2025-11060181/2025-11064018, 1500 block of Clarendon Boulevard. At approximately 10:57 a.m. on November 6, police were dispatched to the report of a citizen assist. It was determined between 10:00 p.m. on November 5 and 5:00 a.m. on November 6, the male suspect made entry into the male victim’s occupied residence and stole electronics before fleeing the scene. It was later determined two additional occupied residences in the building were burglarized overnight and electronics, an undisclosed amount of cash and a wallet containing credit cards and ID cards were reported missing. The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 5’11”-6’2”, 180-200 pounds, wearing a jean jacket, camouflage pants, black and white shoes, a white hat and a white backpack.
