‘Island-inspired’ spray tan studio opens in Clarendon

A new spray tanning studio is hoping to bring a spritz of the islands to Clarendon.

Maui Glow Club opened its doors last week, offering “a glow so natural it looks like a vacation” above the Starbucks at 2690 Clarendon Blvd. This is the brand’s second location, following one that opened in Vienna in March.

The studio pledges to ‘take time’ with customers

  • Spray tan services start at $75 and can be upgraded with options like an “anti-aging boost” or “skin firming lift,” or scents like “Pineapple Bliss” and “Coconut Breeze.”
  • The studio promises to tailor airbrushed tans to each customer’s undertone and teach clients about taking care of their tans.
  • “You’re at your most vulnerable during a spray tan — and yet so many places rush you through like it’s a transaction,” co-owner Renee Louis-Charles said in a press release. “I knew the experience could be elevated.”

Maui Glow Club is open daily

  • From Monday through Friday, the studio is open from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. It’s open from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on the weekends.
  • Mobile services for events are also available for booking at the studio, which advertises “a luxury island-inspired spray tanning experience.”
  • “I wanted to feel sun-kissed and confident without risking long-term skin damage,” Louis-Charles said.
