A 33-year-old D.C. man is facing an array of charges after a violent incident in Crystal City last night.
The alleged assault happened shortly before midnight, near the intersection of 23rd Street S. and S. Eads Street — at the start of Crystal City’s restaurant row.
The man and three male victims “were outside when they became involved in a verbal dispute that escalated to an physical altercation during which the suspect allegedly struck the victims several times,” according to Arlington County police. One of the victims was hospitalized after the assault.
After being detained by police, the suspect reportedly “urinated in public,” drawing another charge.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2025-12160189, 23rd Street S. at S. Eads Street. At approximately 11:51 p.m. on December 16, police were dispatched to the report of a fight. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect and three male victims were outside when they became involved in a verbal dispute that escalated to a physical altercation during which the suspect allegedly struck the victims several times. Two of the victims sustained minor injuries and the other victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital. Responding officers located the suspect on scene and detained him and he urinated in public. [The suspect], 33, of Washington, D.C. was arrested and charged with Malicious Wounding, Assault and Battery (x2) and Urinating in Public. He was held without bond.
