Bill’s Ace Hardware among two Langston Blvd businesses broken into overnight

The Arlington County Police Department is investigating a pair of overnight break-ins at two businesses in the Old Dominion neighborhood.

Bill’s Ace Hardware and a neighboring service center, National Tire & Battery (4801 Langston Blvd), were both targeted, according to scanner chatter and a tipster.

Police were dispatched to the tire store around 6 a.m. after a passerby noticed broken windows at the property. While there, officers observed a similar situation at Bill’s Ace Hardware (2213 N. Buchanan Street).

“My son and I drove by [Bill’s] around 7:30 a.m. and glass doors were smashed in,” a tipster said. “Police were on the scene.”

Police say an unknown suspect “forced entry” into both businesses but didn’t steal anything. The first break-in is believed to have happened around 2:30 a.m.
