A new grocery store off of Langston Blvd is expected to open later this year.
Sprouts Farmers Market is targeting a September opening at 3115 Langston Blvd, the former home of a Giant supermarket that closed two years ago, in March 2024.
“We look forward to bringing our wide selection of fresh, local and better-for-you products to the community as we continue to grow in Virginia, joining existing stores in Herndon, Manassas, Leesburg and Haymarket,” a spokesperson told ARLnow.
A banner advertising the store as “coming soon” went up a little over a week ago. Sprouts first confirmed plans to open in Lyon Village in May 2025.
Other businesses in the strip mall include The Italian Store and a CVS.
Sprouts is a supermarket chain headquartered in Phoenix, operating more than 480 stores in 25 states. Specializing in “fresh, natural and organic food,” the brand promises “a carefully curated assortment of products that inspire wellness naturally.”
“Sprouts helps people live and eat better with fresh produce at the heart of the store and delicious discoveries for every dietary lifestyle,” the spokesperson said.
The chain is undertaking a nationwide expansion project. It opened its Haymarket location in Prince William County in January.
