ACPD: Man with knife robs store, steals employee’s car

Police are looking for a man who robbed a store in Rosslyn and stole an employee’s car.

The robbery happened shortly before 5:30 a.m. on the 1600 block of Wilson Blvd, where there’s a 7-Eleven store next to the H-B Woodlawn Secondary School.

The latest Arlington County Police Department crime report describes a diminutive man in his 20s who walked into the store, went behind the counter, and threatened the employee with a knife. The suspect then stole cigarettes, coins and cash, and the employee’s car keys — before driving off in the car.

ROBBERY, 2026-03120037, 1600 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 5:24 a.m. on March 12, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect entered the business, went behind the counter and threatened an employee with a knife. The suspect stole cigarettes, an undisclosed amount of coins and the employee’s car keys. He then demanded cash from the register, exited the store with the stolen items, stole the employee’s vehicle from the parking lot outside the store and fled the scene. No injuries were reported. A lookout was broadcast and responding officers canvassed the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 5’2” in his 20’s wearing a black jacket, gray hoodie, blue jeans and black shoes. The stolen vehicle is described as a gray 2019 Toyota Camry with Virginia license plate UWM5748. The investigation is ongoing.
