Crime Report: Restaurant Burglary in Crystal City

A restaurant in the Crystal City Shops was burglarized Monday night, according to Arlington County Police.

From an ACPD crime report:

BURGLARY, 2016-11150052, 1600 block of Crystal Square. Between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. on November 14, an unknown subject entered a business and stole an undisclosed amount of cash. The investigation is ongoing.

It has been a rather slow week for crime in Arlington. The rest of the past week’s crime report highlights, including at least one that we’ve already reported, after the jump.

RECOVERED STOLEN AUTO, 2016-11150001, 2300 block of S. Clark Street. At approximately 12:09 a.m. on November 15, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a stolen vehicle. Don Pierre Green, 30, of Washington D.C., was arrested and charged with grand larceny auto and driving without a drivers license.

BURGLARY, 2016-11120093, 5000 block of Columbia Pike. Between 9:00 p.m. on November 11 and 8:45 a.m. on November 12, an unknown subject forced entry into a business and stole an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect is described as a male in his twenties, approximately 5’5″-5’8″ tall and weighed 130-150 lbs. He was wearing a white skull cap, white sweatshirt, black pants, and white/black shoes.

BURGLARY, 2016-11120120, 3500 block of Columbia Pike. Between 9:20 p.m. on November 11 and 10:20 a.m. on November 12, an unknown(s) subject forced entry into a business and stole an undisclosed amount of cash. There is no suspect(s) description.

PEEPING, 2016-11090200, 600 block of S. Carlin Springs Road. At approximately 3:57 p.m. on November 9, police were dispatched to the report of a suspicious person. The investigation revealed that two unknown male subjects were seen photographing a child care center. A canvass of the area by responding officers returned with negative results. Subject one is described as a light skinned Hispanic male, approximately 30 years old, 5’8″ with a thin build. He was wearing a light gray hoodie with the hood pulled up. Subject two is described as a light skinned Hispanic male, approximately 30 years old, 5’8″ with a thin build and dark hair. He was wearing a royal blue shirt.

LATE BURGLARY, 2016-11090195, 5800 block of Washington Boulevard. At approximately 12:11 a.m. on November 9, an unknown suspect entered a business and stole an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect wore a long sleeved light colored jacket, gloves, jeans and sneakers at the time of the incident. The investigation is ongoing.

LATE BURGLARY, 2016-11090100, 2100 block of Lee Highway. Between 9:00 a.m. on November 2 and 10:00 p.m. on November 8, an unknown suspect(s) entered a residence and stole numerous items of value. There are no suspect(s) descriptions.
