Arlington Pet of the Week: Max

This week’s Arlington Pet of the Week is Max, a year-and-a-half-old yellow labrador.

Here is what his owner Erin had to say about him:

Max is the most amazing year-and-a-half-old yellow lab. My grandmother passed away when I was 7 and one of my greatest memories of her was helping her with her house chores on Saturdays. Our last chore of the day always was making the bed, lining up all of the pillows, and putting her favorite stuffed animal – a floppy eared dog named Max – on the bed.

Since I was a child, I told my Mom that when I grew up, I was going to get my own dog. He was going to be a yellow lab and named Max after my grandma’s favorite stuffed dog.  It took me a while, but in January 2016, I brought home the best friend anyone could ask for!

Max loves other dogs and to carry stuffed animals around the house.  He’s known for trying to steal laundry, especially socks, and for dragging whoever is walking him to the local Unleashed store in Arlington.

He likes to swim and snuggle and is quite convinced that everyone walking down the streets of Arlington are friends who might have a treat for him! It’s all of those awesome qualities that are why I nominate Max for Arlington pet of the week.
