Make sure to get you trash carts out for collection early next week.
Arlington County’s solid waste crews are planning to start collections earlier due to a week-long bout of high heat.
More from Arlington’s Dept. of Environmental Services:
Roll Carts to the Curb by 5:30 a.m. Next Week
Due to prolonged heat in the forecast for next week, crews will pick up curbside trash, recycling and organics starting at 6 a.m. to take advantage of cooler morning temperatures. Residents should place carts at the curb no later than 5:30 a.m. on their scheduled collection day. This earlier start time will remain in effect from Monday, June 17, through Friday, June 21.

High temperatures in the 90s are currently expected each day of next week.
The heat wave next week that will develop in the eastern United States looks legit with a prolonged period of dangerously high temps in some areas. Exactly how extreme it is still TBD… but the maps in the article below show the risk ⤵️https://t.co/hx4EoNrJmv
