A gun-toting cyclist and a trio of package thieves are being sought by Arlington County police after a pair of weekend incidents.
The first happened just before 3 a.m. this past Saturday, in the Lyon Village neighborhood near Clarendon.
“The female victim was in the area when the male suspect rode past her on a bike, brandished what appeared to be a firearm and subsequently fled the scene,” said the latest ACPD crime report. “Responding officers conducted a canvass of the area for the suspect yielding negative results.”
It’s unclear why the man brandished the gun.
“The investigation is ongoing,” police said in the crime report, which also includes a previously reported Friday evening brawl in the Pentagon City mall food court.
In addition to the heat-packing bicyclist, Arlington police are also looking for three casually dressed young women suspected of stealing “numerous packages” from the mailroom of a multifamily building in Ballston early Sunday.
