A country-themed bar with a mechanical bull opens tonight (Friday) in Clarendon, aiming to bring a piece of Nashville to the neighborhood.
With antique fixtures, crocodile leather accents and country-inspired bar fare, BOE debuts this weekend in part of Coco B’s former space at 2854 Wilson Blvd. The new honky-tonk is named after Bodacious, a storied bucking bull, and will soon introduce mechanical bull riding contests, according to its website.
BOE opens at 7 p.m.
- The bar’s bull “sits center stage” in the space with a custom video photo booth. Guests can watch from the bar or a “private bull pen,” according to a release.
- Manager Justin Syder’s cocktails range from $12-$14 and include takes on the whiskey sour and old fashioned. The bar offers a souvenir “boot mug” for brews.
- A dinner menu features buttermilk biscuits, loaded tater tots and “cowboy eggrolls” filled with caramelized onions, cherry pepper aioli and steak or chicken.
A tiki bar returns to the roof
- BOE’s Tiki Bar, a recreation of Coco B’s previous tropical concept, will open on BOE’s patio, private event room and 3,800-square foot rooftop.
- These spaces will offer DJs, “tiki-inspired cocktails,” frozen libations and a “tropical backdrop infused with cowboy charm.”
- Featured drinks include a vodka-based tropical orchid martini and a “pink flamingo bucket” with Malibu, pineapple, mango and cranberry juices over lemon-lime soda.
The grand opening is Sept. 25
- The soft opening will continue throughout this weekend and include sports viewing on Sunday.
- The bar plans to introduce a set of weekly events and drink promotions as well as brunch, according to its website.
- A happy hour from 5-7 p.m. offers $5 rail drinks and select cocktails and $3 beers from Tuesday to Friday.
BOE will open at 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and at noon on weekends.
