Xtend Barre near Courthouse rebrands as Studio B under new owners

A fitness studio near the Courthouse Metro has changed hands and brands.

The Xtend Barre at 2008 Wilson Blvd has rebranded to Studio B under new owners Dana Wilson and Elaine Broughan, both of whom have worked at the studio for several years.

Wilson had been with the fitness center since it opened nearly 10 years ago, serving in roles including instructor and manager. Broughan likewise worked as an instructor for several years at the former Xtend Barre.

“The opportunity for Dana and Elaine to work together — and to continue serving our amazing clients and staff — was simply too good to pass up,” a representative told ARLnow.

Studio B continues to offer a variety of in-person and virtual fitness classes, from barre and trampoline to TRX suspension and pilates-style classes. An adult ballet class is a new offering for the studio.

Participants can book individual classes or memberships.

“There are a few different class offerings, but the core of what we provide — and the amazing community and atmosphere that make our studio so special — remains the same,” Wilson and Broughan said.

Along with Wilson and Broughan, Studio B employs 15 instructors. The owners say clients range from their 20s to 70s and represent “all walks of life and careers.”

“We love the diversity and openness of this neighborhood,” the new owners said. “Our clients range from their 20s to their 70s and come from all walks of life and careers. What makes it so special is that everyone comes together to enjoy their workouts and connect as a supportive, welcoming community.”
