A pre-St. Patrick’s Day race centered around Ireland’s Four Courts in Courthouse will result in some road closures on Saturday.
The Arlington County Police Department plans to close the following roads from 8-11 a.m. for the Four Courts Four Miler, which begins and ends on the hill at 2051 Wilson Blvd.
- Northbound Route 110 from Route 1 to Wilson Blvd
- Westbound Wilson Blvd from northbound Route 110 to N. Rhodes Street
- N. Quinn Street from Wilson Blvd to 18th Street N.
- 18th Street N. from N. Quinn Street to N. Oak Street
- N. Oak Street from 18th Street N. to Wilson Blvd
Street parking in the area will also be restricted.
Four Courts hosted this race for 10 years between 2010 and 2020, typically bringing a turnout of about 1,000 people, managing partner Dave Cahill previously told ARLnow. Runners will first descend the hill, then turn around and run back up to be “rewarded with a tasty beverage.”
It’s one of many festivities happening around Arlington in the lead-up to St. Patrick’s Day next Tuesday.
