Arlington Cinema & Drafthouse’s schedule for the next five months includes a stand-up comedian who has sold out Madison Square Garden.
The movie theatre and comedy club on Columbia Pike has nationally-touring comic Chris Distefano scheduled for four mid-December shows, marking his return to a venue he played early in his career.
Distefano’s shows headline Drafthouse’s programming for the rest of the year, which includes a full slate of comics such as a former voice actress from “Bob’s Burgers” and an “America’s Got Talent” alum.
“It’s great to have [Distefano] back,” Arlington Drafthouse owner Pete Fejeran told ARLnow. “I think a lot of people in Arlington will connect with him, which will amplify how funny he is. It’ll be good to hang out with him, and I’m sure Arlington will take him in again.”

- Friday, December 11: 7 p.m.
- Friday, December 11: 9:30 p.m.
- Saturday, December 12: 4 p.m.

- Brandi Denise, who has an “LOL! Live” stand-up special out on Hulu, has four shows scheduled between Aug. 14-15
- Blair Socci, a stand-up comic and a former voice actress on “Bob’s Burgers,” has four shows scheduled between Aug. 21-22
- Erica Rhodes, an “America’s Got Talent” alum, has four shows scheduled between Aug. 28-29
- Former “Laugh Out Loud Network” performer D’Lai has five shows scheduled between Sept. 4-6
- Bilingual comedian Carmen Lynch, who has specials in both English and Spanish available on YouTube, has four shows scheduled between Sept. 11-12
- Drew Lynch, a YouTube and social media star, has four shows scheduled from Sept. 18-19
- Host of TruTV’s “Comedy Knockout” and “The Amazing Spider-Man” actor Damien Lemon has one show scheduled for Sept. 20
- Elena Torres, a Spanish-American former telenovela actress turned stand-up comedian, has one show scheduled for Sept. 24
- Pedro Gonzalez, a New York-based comic who appeared on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” has one show scheduled for Sept. 25
- La Chupitos, an act that has appeared on major Spanish networks like Univision and Estrella TV, has one show scheduled for Sept. 26
- A magic/comedy show for children hosted by The Great Zucchini and Abra Cadabra Alex is scheduled for Sept. 27

On the cinema side, Arlington Drafthouse will host a string of Halloween-themed movies the week of the holiday. It will also host winter-themed screenings later in the year, Fejeran said.
