Update at 4:10 p.m. — A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for all of Arlington and D.C.
Earlier: Arlington is again under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch.
The watch was issued shortly after 1 p.m. Monday and is in effect until 9 p.m., covering most of the D.C. metro area.
Forecasters say damaging wind gusts, hail and lightning are possible with storms expected to reach the area later today.
The line of storms is moving east and just entered western Maryland after prompting severe thunderstorm and flash flood warnings in the Pittsburgh area.
