Los Tios Grill has closed its doors for good on Crystal City’s Restaurant Row, ending a seven-year run.
The spot for Tex-Mex and Salvadoran dishes opened at 515 23rd Street S. in early 2019, serving up bites like fajitas and quesadillas, plus drinks such as margaritas, sangria and draft beer.
A message posted on the location’s website does not list any reason for the closure.
“We are incredibly thankful for your business and for all the wonderful memories and support you have given us over the years,” Los Tios Grill wrote. “While we are sad to say goodbye to our Arlington location, you can still enjoy Los Tios Grill at any of our three other locations. Thank you for being part of the Los Tios family.”
The restaurant’s last day was Aug. 30, a tipster told ARLnow.
Los Tios has two other spots in Alexandria and another restaurant in Leesburg.
The space at 515 23rd Street S. has been home to some form of Latin restaurant for over four decades. Before Los Tios, it was occupied by Cantina Mexicana, which opened under a different name in 1978.
