A new grocery store with a wide selection of organic products, bulk dry goods and oven-ready entrees has opened on Langston Blvd.
Sprouts Farmers Market hosted its grand opening earlier this month in the Lyon Village Shopping Center. Interior signage promises “organics on every aisle,” and the supermarket delivers on that.
A large corner of the store is dedicated to produce, which ranges from organic apples, lemons and mangoes to specialty items such as lion’s mane mushrooms, gold beets and dandelion greens. A smaller baked goods section offers fresh-baked bread, pies, cookies and muffins, while a deli serves Boar’s Head lunch meat and cheese.
Other options for meat include whole organic roasted chickens ($15 each) and flavorful, pre-seasoned dishes from roasted garlic lemon pepper wings to bourbon salmon and Cajun butter shrimp skewers. That’s in addition to $5 sushi on Wednesdays.
The store also sells dry goods by the ounce. The selection includes quinoa, basmati rice, black-eyed peas, polenta, oatmeal, chia seeds and protein powder, plus a variety of nuts, dried fruit and candy.
Additional products include kombucha and probiotics, aisles of vitamins and supplements, and select hard ciders and IPAs.
“Stepping into Sprouts, shoppers can expect an experience rooted in freshness, quality and wellness — with delicious discoveries down every aisle,” Sprouts said in a press release earlier this month.
Sprouts Farmers Market has around 500 locations nationwide, but only four other Virginia stores in Leesburg, Manassas, Herndon and Haymarket.
The Langston Blvd location replaces a Giant that closed at the Lyon Village Shopping Center in March 2024 after 60 years. It is open daily from 7 a.m.-10 p.m. at 3115 Langston Blvd.
