Are you a songwriter looking for community, inspiration, and momentum? Song Foundry is a new group for anyone who writes original songs, whether you’re an experienced writer or just getting started. We welcome all backgrounds, genres, and stories. Our goal is to connect songwriters, foster honest feedback, and build confidence through sharing, collaboration, and live performance.

Song Foundry isn’t about cover bands or competition. It’s about craft, process, and supporting one another. At our meetups, you can bring works-in-progress for feedback, share finished songs, or simply listen and connect. We offer mentorship for new writers from experienced writers, creative partnerships, and group outings to open mics or showcases.

Join us at FLP! We still have a couple of spaces available in our 4/5 year old classroom. We provide before and aftercare, specials, and a Reggio Emilia inspired learning environment!

In just six months, those neighbors’ gifts to the Fund for Queer Causes, a queer-advised fund housed at Arlington Community Foundation, have already powered $6,000 in unrestricted grants to three small, local nonprofits: Safe Space NOVA, 360 Health X, and Trans Maryland. Each one is queer-led, deeply rooted in the community, and often overlooked in traditional philanthropy.

Classes are starting on Saturdays at 10 AM for ages 4-6 with the ABCs of Fencing. Beginning Fencing Classes for youth (7 to 12) and teens and adults (13 to Adult) start September 8th (M/W) and September 9th (T/Th).
