A shoplifting suspect led Arlington police on a foot chase in Pentagon City, then allegedly bit an officer before finally being taken into custody.
The incident happened Monday afternoon in the area of the Pentagon City mall, along the 1100 block of S. Hayes Street.

Police are looking for two men who seriously injured a would-be Good Samaritan who tried to intervene in a dispute in Crystal City.
The early morning incident happened around 2 a.m. Thursday, on the block of 23rd Street S. near the 7-Eleven and the Exxon station. It reportedly involved the victim, the suspects, and a woman with whom the pair were engaged in an argument.
A Maryland woman is facing charges after allegedly stealing flowers and punching a cop in the face.

Catalytic Converter Thefts in Fairlington — “A resident has reported that the catalytic converter on their Toyota Prius was stolen during the night March 21, 2022. Man Tased After Columbia Pike Assault — “The suspect was inside of a business, acting disorderly and aggressive towards other patrons, when he allegedly approached the victim and struck him in the face. The victim sustained minor injuries and did not require medical treatment. Responding officers located the suspect, who continued to act disorderly and resisted arrest. The first happened around 8 p.m. Saturday at a Penrose Square business.
A video purporting to show two people attacking an employee inside the Bluemont McDonald’s has been obtained by ARLnow.
The attack happened around 11 p.m. Monday, at the restaurant on the 5000 block of Wilson Blvd. Police say two suspects, a man and a woman, were “involved in a verbal dispute with an employee after receiving an incorrect order through the drive-thru.” The incident then allegedly turned violent.
