Life-size wildlife sculptures create ‘big safari’ in Pentagon City

Four animal sculptures have turned Metropolitan Park into an unlikely safari for the past several weeks.

Leo the Lion, Jerry the Giraffe, Billie the Bear and Cody the Steer have greeted visitors since late August in an installation organized by Amazon’s HQ2 and the art organization NINE dot ARTS.

APS, Amazon about to finalize deal moving Arlington Community High School to HQ2

School leaders are about to formally ink a deal to relocate Arlington Community High School to Amazon’s HQ2 campus.

Eight months after celebrating the upcoming move, Arlington Public Schools leaders plan to sign a 30-year lease with Amazon for more than 30,000 square feet of space at 1450 S. Eads Street in the Metropolitan Park complex in Pentagon City.
