Let’s enjoy this pleasantly warm Wednesday before temps dip back in to coat weather this weekend. And on that note, we’re starting to see some homes dip down to bargain pricing this week as well.

Why the dip, you ask?

Well, the holiday season is long gone and some homeowners are tired of their real estate sitting on the market through the seasons. Similarly, some homeowners want to be aggressive with their pricing in hopes that you, the homebuyer, will bite on a good deal.

Just remember that these listing prices are only the beginning. Yes, they can be a great indicator of homeowners wanting to move quickly on the sale of their home, but there’s still more you can do.

When you’re ready to GET MORE out of your home purchase, give me a shout.

Welcome to 2016. And, very soon we’ll be in 2017.

Time is flying and the differences between the real estate world of yesterday and today are night and day (hey, that rhymes!). By reading this column, you’re already partaking in the digital age of real estate.

There’s a lot more power that the internet brings to buying and selling a home. Not everyone wants to sift through hundreds of magazine pages to find a home. Not everyone wants to read the classified sections. And not everyone wants to drive around aimlessly looking for For Sale signs. Sure, all of the aforementioned can complement a strategic campaign… but by no means are they the backbone of buying/selling a residence in 2016.

So, when you’re ready to GET MORE out of your transaction, let’s get in touch via whatever modern or traditional mode of communication you prefer.

The bulk of the “post-Thanksgiving” 2016 celebratory days are over with. Until next year, Black Friday, Cyber Monday and #GivingTuesday (personally I think there should be a #GivingTuesday every week to support our awesome local nonprofits!).

To keep the spirit going strong, I have declared this a new day in Arlington County: Real Estate Wednesday. It’s the day where you can start thinking about (and maybe acting on) one of the most important purchases you’ll make. Yes, despite how alluring the newest 64-inch TV is every year… buying a home of your very own may be a much better investment in the long run.

The good thing about this Real Estate Wednesday is that there are no doorbusters and no fighting with neighbors over a Furby. It’s all about you… your budget… and what you want in the long run.

So, let’s roll and GET MORE out of your transaction!

It’s an honor to host those who have made such a positive impact on us.

We’re well in to year two of “Just Reduced” and there’s one thing I’ve particularly enjoyed about having this column: The conversations we’re having.

Sure, there are always ways to make anything and everything better. But most importantly, we’ve started a nice dialogue on how to GET MORE out of a real estate transaction.

And, I’m not only hearing from prospective homebuyers wanting to save precious dough… I’m hearing from fellow agents in Arlington as well. In addition to the “Just Reduced” properties that I source on a weekly basis, you all have kept some stellar bargains on my radar. And many of these bargains have made it on our shortlist over the months.

So, on that note, let’s keep the dialogue going and… thank you!
