The Columbia Pike Blues Festival was held on Saturday.

Featuring live music from acts like Tinsley Ellis and The Curbfeelers, plus nearly 50 market, craft and food vendors, the annual event drew a large crowd to the two-block stretch of Walter Reed Drive just north of the Pike.

Spoke to the Penrose Square table at the Blues Festival. They said they were very close to signing a lease with a “destination restaurant” that he could best describe as seafood/continental. Any idea on which restaurant is moving in? I remember last year there were rumors of a Cathal Armstrong restuarant which would be fantastic. Any idea Arlnow?

I thought we already knew it would be the Rhodeside Grill people.

The Cathal rumor was misplaced–it had something to do with the developer’s involvement. He wouldn’t spread himself that thin.

That’s the tavern going into the Siena Park building, which I think is already signed and finalized. Cathal is already spreading himself thin with all his projects, what’s one more.

    maybe it’s the crab shack.

Any photos of The Curbfeelers? They were on at 1pm. Most of them live in the Penrose neighborhood.

It was another awesome event. Great food, music and people. The curbfeelers rocked ( as always).
