there’s a big rack of them at the italian store too.

    • Lardery

Bad choice of words there–unless you mean some of the moms!

  • Tabs

    yay Girl Scouts!

  • Cookies and culture wars!

    • yequalsy

Yeah I hear eating a thin mint will turn you into a militant-lesbian satan-worshiping abortion doctor. Good thing I prefer samoas.

      • bemused bystander

Which will turn you into a militant-straight God-worshipping anti-abortion Virginia state delegate?

      • R. Griffon

Sounds pretty awesome. I’d better double my order.

      • BlueSkies

After all the brouhaha this year about Girl Scouts, I’ll be buying more cookies than usual.

      • Tabs

Don’t be silly. This year’s lesbian cookie is the ThankUBerryMunch.

  • JamesE

    Frozen thin mints!

  • DarkHeart

So when do I get the ones I ordered from the kid down the street?

  • ArlingtonNative

Think I’ll go pick up a few boxes and then go sit out at the Westover Beer Garden this PM and wash ’em down with some sudsy refreshment

Just don’t buy it from Arrowine. Because refusing to tolerate comments about an article you wrote is annoying and insecure. Also, they don’t have Charles Shaw.

      • BlueSkies

Agreed – what’s up with the no-comments policy? On a subject like beer? Isn’t one of the points of drinking beer to make it easier to talk to people?

        • Lardery

Yeah. And the few comments that popped up that one time were largely supportive of the advertorials.

I mean, if a comments brouhaha broke out about whether a Trappist ale is really a bock or something–wouldn’t that actually be great exposure for the shop?

          • Tabs

            Those people are snotty.

  • You can also download the Girl Scout Cookie Locator app on your smartphone. Enter your ZIP and it will tell you the nearest booths. Or go to http://cookielocator.littlebrownie.com/

  • @ Darkheart, she should be bringing them by in the next week or so!

  • Ed

Mmmm, samoas. I hear coconut is displacing acai as the new superfood.

  • Pentagee

Is it cash-only at the booths, or do they take credit cards?

    • Tabs

I’m pretty sure the GS takes credit cards.
