If you are a parent of young kids, you obviously know CoComelon. And now the YouTube hit is coming to life in Arlington.
The DoubleTree Crystal City Hotel (300 Army Navy Drive) is set to host “CoComelon Party Time” this weekend. The event from May 3-5 will feature various experiences for children, including their favorite characters — JJ, Cody, Nina and more — dancing and engaging in themed activities.
Tickets are $35 for adults and kids, though children under 1 are free.
The event website describes “an immersive experience that takes you inside the colorful world of CoComelon where children can explore their way through a variety of interactive party experiences.”
“Play games in our Cuddly Corner, get creative in our Activity & Coloring Center, dance on our light up dance floor and more,” the website says.
Arlington is among a handful of East Coast cities hosting the “all-new, first-of-its-kind, kid-centric event” this spring. Other destinations include Baltimore, Boston and suburban New Jersey.
CoComelon became a sensation on YouTube 5-6 years ago, thanks to its joyful, musical videos featuring 3D animated children, adults and animal characters. It is the 3rd most-subscribed and 2nd most-viewed channel on YouTube, according to Wikipedia, after starting as a hobby for a married couple in Orange County, California.
