What sounded like gunshots being fired sent people running from a party in the Arlington View neighborhood early this morning.
The incident happened just before 2 a.m. Monday on the 1500 block of 12th Street S.
A resident tells us that a party was being held at a property often used for short-term rentals. According to scanner traffic, the attendees were young, possibly in their teens.
Video obtained by ARLnow, below, shows numerous partygoers running, with people screaming and cars reversing down the street, after what sounds like several gunshots.
Arlington County police responded to the neighborhood just south of Columbia Pike and west of I-395 but did not find anyone injured nor any evidence of gunfire.
“Responding officers canvassed the area and no evidence of a shooting or victims were located,” said ACPD spokeswoman Ashley Savage.
