A suspicious material investigation drew an emergency response to Rosslyn this morning.

It happened inside the office building at 1101 Wilson Blvd, which houses at least one federal government office on an upper floor.

“At approximately 10:15 a.m., police and fire personnel responded to the 1100 block of Wilson Boulevard for a medical call for service,” Arlington County Police Department spokeswoman Alli Shorb told ARLnow. “Upon arrival, suspicious materials were located and additional public safety resources as well as our federal partners were requested to assist with the ongoing investigation.”

“Medics evaluated and released one adult female on scene,” Shorb added. “There are no evacuations in place, however, the lobby of the building is secured and out of an abundance of caution, entry into the building is not permitted at this time. There does not appear to be an ongoing threat to the community.”

As of publication time, the scene was being cleared.

“The materials have been cleared,” Shorb said shortly after 12:30 p.m. “The lobby of the building is reopened and police are clearing the scene.”
