A concourse at Reagan National Airport was cleared of passengers while police investigate a suspicious package.
The suspicious item was “located in a break room” around 9 a.m. Thursday, the airport said on social media.

A “suspicious vehicle” in the Pentagon parking lot near Pentagon City has prompted road closures and an investigation.
Pentagon police said on social media shortly after 11 a.m. that officers were “responding to a suspicious vehicle in the Pentagon South Parking Lot.”
A suspicious material investigation drew an emergency response to Rosslyn this morning.
It happened inside the office building at 1101 Wilson Blvd, which houses at least one federal government office on an upper floor.

The Pentagon City mall was evacuated Saturday evening due to a suspicious vehicle in an adjacent parking garage.
Arlington County police and the bomb squad investigated over the course of several hours. Photos and video from the scene showed a large emergency response and authorities operating an unmanned vehicle to inspect the car.

(Update at 11:50 a.m.) Police and firefighters investigated a suspicious package in Courthouse this morning.
Emergency personnel were dispatched to a lower floor of the office building at 2111 Wilson Blvd shortly before 10 a.m. A larger bomb squad response was later requested to the scene.

A suspicious package prompted a large emergency response at an office in the Crystal City area today.
A dramatic scene played out after Arlington’s dispatch center was called about a suspicious package at the U.S. headquarters of German grocery chain Lidl, at 3500 S. Clark Street.

Suspicious Object in Pentagon Parking Lot — From the Pentagon Force Protection Agency yesterday afternoon: “At approximately 6:30 a.m., a Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA) Police unit on routine patrol in South parking when they observed a suspicious object. The area was immediately cordoned off, and vehicle and pedestrian traffic was blocked from the area. PFPA Hazardous Device Unit responded and the object was rendered safely at about 6:50 a.m. The all clear was given at 7:35 a.m… There is no threat to the Pentagon and surrounding area. (Updated at 12:30 p.m.) A road was closed in Crystal City this morning due to a suspicious package investigation.
Police blocked off 26th Street S. between Crystal Drive and S. Clark Street, and are also working to block Crystal Drive.
Roads are closed near the Pentagon City mall due to a suspicious package investigation.
The investigation is taking place at the intersection of S. Hayes Street and 12th Street S., which is also close to the Metro station entrance and the headquarters of the Transportation Security Administration.
