Thursdays and Saturdays at the Astro Beer Hall in Shirlington are about to get more interesting, and in some cases, furry.

The restaurant, bar and arcade at 4001 Campbell Avenue will host weekly karaoke nights and a dog-friendly Paws on the Patio series this summer.

Karaoke will start at 9 p.m. every Saturday through the end of the summer. Astro will serve bites from its late-night menu starting at 10 p.m., featuring appetizers, fried chicken sandwiches and cookies, including s’mores and dark chocolate salted caramel.

The best singer of each night, as decided by the audience, will win a $50 gift card to the beer hall.

The venue’s 140-seat outdoor patio will also offer free pup cups with purchases every Thursday, as part of its Paws on the Patio series. The cups will have peanut butter inside, for customers of the four-legged variety.

The celestial hangout will continue to host happy hour on weekdays from 4-6 p.m. Draft brews, rail liquors, glasses of wine and certain appetizers are $2 off, including fried chicken sliders, fried pickles and loaded tater tots.

Astro Beer Hall is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11-1 a.m. Friday, 10-1 a.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday.
