
Arlington County police are looking for three suspects who went behind the counter of a local 7-Eleven and stole cash and merchandise.
The strong-arm robbery happened this past Saturday night, around 8:30 p.m., on the 1500 block of S. Fern Street in Pentagon City.
“Suspect One went behind the counter and removed two cash register drawers containing an undisclosed amount of cash, during which he pushed an employee,” said the latest ACPD crime report. “Suspect Two took possession of the cash drawers while Suspect Three stole merchandise from behind the counter. All three suspects then fled the scene in a silver sedan.
The employee who was shoved did not suffer injuries that required medical treatment, police said. The suspects were able to flee before police arrived and remain at large.
Also from the crime report, an as-yet unidentified man is accused of assaulting four police officers Friday morning. It happened after he was “allegedly harassing and spitting on passersby” in Crystal City.

ASSAULT ON POLICE, 2024-07050060, 1700 block of S. Clark Street. At approximately 8:38 a.m. on July 5, police were dispatched to the report of disorderly conduct for a male allegedly harassing and spitting on passersby. Upon arrival, officers located an individual matching the description provided by witnesses, made contact with him and determined he was drinking in public. The officers attempted to have him leave the area, but he refused. As the officers attempted to place him into custody, the suspect became combative, kicked the door of a police vehicle and spat towards officers. Upon arrival at booking, the suspect refused to exit the transport vehicle and spat on an officer. With the assistance of additional officers, the suspect was brought into booking, during which he kicked, spit on, and attempted to bite the officers. During the course of the investigation, the suspect refused to identify himself and attempts by officers to identify him were unsuccessful. He was arrested and charged with Assault and Battery on Law Enforcement (x4), Attempted Destruction of Property, Public Drunkenness, and Drinking Alcohol in Public and booked as a John Doe. He was held without bond.
