More than 2,500 homes and businesses were without power Monday afternoon in parts of Pentagon City and Crystal City.
Reports of the outage started coming in around 3:20 p.m. Firefighters have since been dispatched to numerous buildings in the area for reports of stuck elevators.
Dominion’s outage map listed the cause of the outage as “circuit out” and a rough restoration estimate of between 6-9 p.m.
The Long Bridge Aquatics and Fitness Center is among those that lost power and has closed for the day as a result, Arlington’s parks department said.
Long Bridge Aquatics & Fitness Center is closed for the remainder of today, July 22, due to a power outage. All programs at the facility are canceled until further notice. Any impacts to programs at the facility will be communicated directly to program participants via email.

As of 8:15 p.m., the outage was down to 287 customers without power, according to Dominion.
