Another stretch of dangerously hot weather is on tap.
The National Weather Service just issued a Heat Advisory for Arlington and surrounding jurisdictions including D.C., Alexandria, Fairfax County and Falls Church.
With air temperatures in the mid-to-upper 90s expected, paired with heat index values of up to 107, forecasters say people spending time outside on Thursday are at risk of heat illnesses.
Things will remain similarly steamy on Friday, before the heat gets dialed back a bit Saturday and storms arrive to further cool things off — at least for a day, before highs in the 90s return.
