Deals on gourmet dining options are coming to Arlington and Falls Church next week as Summer Restaurant Week returns.
The event — hosted by Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington from Monday, Aug. 12 through Sunday, Aug. 18 — involves hundreds of restaurants in the D.C. area.
Hoping to woo new patrons and wow returning ones, participating establishments offer multi-course brunch and lunch menus at $25 or $35 per person, as well as multi-course dinner menus — some including alcohol — at $40, $55 or $65 per person.
Eateries include nearby 2024 RAMMY winners, The Salt Line in Ballston (part of Long Shot Hospitality, which won Restauranteur of the Year) and Fava Pot in Falls Church, voted Favorite Fast Bites.
The Salt Line’s three-course dinner comes at $55, and includes a selection of heirloom tomato salad, New England baked cod and lobster rolls, to name a few course options. Lunch offerings for $35 include a crispy fish sandwich, smash burgers and sorbet for dessert.
Egyptian and Mediterranean flavors can be found on Fava Pot’s promotional menus, also coming at $55 for dinner and $35 for lunch. To start for lunch, diners can choose between hummus, baba ganoush or spicy feta. At dinner, you can try a second course of salmon, chicken a la crème or lamb fattah alongside a first-course mango or guava cocktail.
In Shirlington, three-course Italian lunches and dinners will go for $25 and $40, respectively, at Corso Italian. Diners can try a variety of pastas and classic entrees alongside fresh-baked foccaccia. Lambrusco wine flights can be ordered for $15 as well.
