Numerous Arlington businesses have once again made the newly released Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in the U.S.

A total of 21 Arlington organizations, including many consulting firms and other businesses working with the federal government, earned a spot on the national rankings released Tuesday.

Topping the list among Arlington companies for the third year in a row is Ballston-based Piedmont Global Language Solutions. Ranking No. 245 overall, the company grew by 1,667% over the past three years.

Seven of the businesses on the list were also featured last year.

The number of Arlington businesses placing on the ranking has declined somewhat over the past few years, however.

Back in 2019, 34 companies made the list and five of them were in the top 500. That number gradually shrank to 28 companies last year.
