Two new red light cameras coming to Rosslyn and Langston Blvd next week

Planned and current locations of Arlington red light cameras (via Arlington County)

Additional red light cameras are going online next week at two Arlington intersections.

Drivers will begin receiving warnings for infractions at the following sites in Rosslyn and along Langston Blvd starting Tuesday, Sept. 3, the county announced in a press release.

  • Wilson Blvd and N. Lynn Street
  • Langston Blvd at the I-66 Exit 72 off-ramp

Red light violators will get a $50 ticket per violation starting Oct. 3.

Additionally, the county previously announced that another four red light cameras will go live at the following intersections on Sunday, Sept. 1.

  • Columbia Pike and Washington Blvd
  • Langston Blvd and Spout Run Parkway (Lyon Village)
  • 10th Street N. and N. Barton Street (Courthouse area)
  • Langston Blvd and N. Lynn Street (Rosslyn)

The cameras will be activated when a vehicle enters an intersection after a light turns red, the county said. Digital images and video footage will go to the Arlington County Police Department, which will remain responsible for issuing tickets.

Arlington introduced the PhotoRED red light program in 2010 and expanded it in 2015. Cameras currently enforce violations at seven Arlington intersections.
