Arlington’s second Citibank branch is scheduled to open in Clarendon by the end of the year.
“Coming soon” signs will appear later this week in the windows at 2879 Clarendon Blvd, signaling the upcoming arrival of the bank’s first new D.C.-area branch in more than a decade, a spokesperson told ARLnow.
The bank will fill a 4,000-square-foot space previously occupied by Orvis, a sporting goods store that closed its doors earlier this year at The Crossing Clarendon.
“We are excited to welcome the Clarendon community,” Mindy Mercaldo, the head of Citi’s U.S. Branch Network, said. “This branch will offer some of our network’s most innovative and flexible features, designed to put you at ease when you walk through the door.”
One of the bank’s interior walls will feature an art piece depicting a map of Arlington, with a marker showing the branch’s location.
Citibank currently has numerous ATMs in Arlington and a branch along N. Glebe Road in Ballston, in addition to several locations in D.C.
