After a little over a year in business, Slipstream’s Ballston location served its last coffees, espressos and brunch treats to customers on Monday.

Workers could be seen removing furniture from the cafe at 4300 Wilson Blvd this morning (Wednesday).

“We are so very grateful to everyone who supported us here, it was an absolute pleasure serving you,” a paper posted to the storefront says. “We hope you will come see us at our Washington D.C. locations.”

The shop opened back in March 2023 and was the regional chain’s only location outside of D.C.

The chain specializes in espresso drinks, iced coffees, teas, baked goods and brunch items like avocado toast and breakfast tacos.

Three Slipstream locations in the District remain in business.
