Dear Yorktown Families,
This morning at 8 a.m., there was a trespasser on Yorktown school grounds. We immediately placed the school in a “hold” and contacted the Arlington County Police Department. The individual, who is a former student, was quickly contained by school staff and several classrooms were relocated temporarily as police arrived. Police removed the individual from school property and he is now in custody.
Thank you to students and staff for their cooperation. Everyone is safe and we have resumed normal operations.
Sincerely,
Dr. Kevin Clark
