A woman was carjacked in Pentagon City last night.
It happened shortly before 6 p.m. Thursday — on Halloween — in a parking garage on the 1200 block of S. Fern Street, near Costco. A male suspect, accompanied by a female suspect, pulled a gun and demanded the keys to the woman’s Audi A4, according to police.
No one was hurt.

CARJACKING, 2024-10310171, 1200 block of S. Fern Street. At approximately 5:58 p.m. on October 31, police were dispatched to the report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined that the female victim was at her parked vehicle inside a parking garage when the male suspect approached, brandished a firearm and demanded her keys while a female suspect demanded her phone. The male suspect then stole the victim’s vehicle, described as a Black Audi A4 with Alabama license plate A0A217H and fled the scene. No injuries were reported. The male suspect is described as a Black male in his 20’s, wearing all black, gloves and a face covering. The female suspect is described as a heavy-set Black female in her 20’s, wearing a black and grey sweatshirt and black pants. The investigation is ongoing.
This is at least the seventh carjacking in Arlington so far this year, after 18 over the course of 2023.
Also last night, a male victim was stabbed in the Arlington Mill neighborhood during an “altercation” with 4-5 male suspects. Police were called after the victim “self-reported” to a local Inova hospital.
The stabbing happened on the same night that three people were shot, two critically, about a mile away along Columbia Pike.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2024-11010022, 800 block of S. Greenbrier Street. At approximately 1:53 a.m. on November 1, police were dispatched to the report of a stabbing victim at Inova Hospital. The preliminary investigation indicates that the two male victims were in the 800 block of S. Greenbrier Street when they were approached by 4-5 Hispanic male suspects and a physical altercation ensued during which one victim suffered a stab wound. The victim self-transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No additional suspect descriptions are available at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
