New ‘Flow & Feast’ class in Ballston pairs cooking with yoga

A new monthly class in Ballston is combining lessons in cooking and child’s pose.

Cookology Culinary School is bringing back its “Flow & Feast” events, which include a yoga class and hands-on cooking lesson wrapped into one.

Class begins with an hour of yoga

  • Yoga is led by Jyoti Dhibi from Good Vibes Yoga studio in Alexandria, who has over 9,000 hours of documented teaching experience.
  • After yoga on the third floor of the Ballston Quarter (4238 Wilson Blvd), participants take a hands-on cooking class with Cookology’s professional chefs.
  • Each class follows a monthly theme like “digestion” or “seasonal wellness.”

Participants prepare a healthy meal

  • The class promises to share tasty, health-promoting recipes.
  • A previous January class prepared fresh herb frittatas and chocolate, hazelnut milk and fig smoothies.
  • This month’s cooking lesson includes red lentil dahl with coconut milk, beet and citrus salad and dark chocolate strawberries.

The next class is Saturday, Feb. 22

  • With the theme “Nourish Your Heart and Soul,” the love- and Valentine’s Day-themed class will focus on poses “to increase circulation, promote self-love, and energize the heart chakra.”
  • Spots are $110 per person and can be reserved online. Up to 20 spots are available per class.
