It’s going to be a slippery Saturday in Arlington and most of the D.C. area.
Snow, sleet and freezing rain are expected throughout much of the day, starting with snow in the morning. The frozen precipitation is expected to make travel tricky, though temperatures are expected to remain above freezing during most of the storm and an overnight refreeze is not currently expected.

* WHAT…Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow and sleet accumulations up to one inch and ice accumulations up to one tenth of an inch.
* WHERE…The District of Columbia, central Maryland, and central and northern Virginia.
* WHEN…From 10 AM to 7 PM EST Saturday.
* IMPACTS…Plan on slippery road conditions.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Precipitation is expected to overspread the area Saturday morning. Precipitation likely starts as snow before transitioning to sleet and eventually freezing rain through the afternoon. Precipitation will transition to rain Saturday evening as temperatures warm.
