Police are on scene of a shooting at a Crystal City apartment building.
Two people were wounded and taken to local hospitals, including a teen boy with critical injuries, according to Arlington County police. The shooting happened during a party at the Crystal Towers Apartments at 1600 S. Eads Street, according to initial reports, prompting numerous people to flee.
Several people were detained and questioned by officers. The shooter was still at large as of 10 p.m.
“The juvenile male victim is in critical but stable condition. The investigation into the circumstances of the shooting is ongoing,” ACPD said via social media. “Anyone with information is asked to call ACPD’s Tip Line at 703-228-4180 or [email protected] or anonymously through the Arlington County Crime Solvers hotline at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).”
UPDATE: Two victims were transported to area hospitals. One juvenile male sustained serious injuries and an adult male sustained non-life threatening injuries. Police remain on scene investigating the circumstances of the shooting.
