Bike to Work Day is rolling into town tomorrow (Thursday), rain or shine.
The annual local event encourages locals to, as the name suggests, bicycle to work.
BikeArlington is running pit stops around the area with free goodies like T-shirts offered on a first-come, first-served basis, along with breakfast treats and coffee.
“Bike to Work Day is a great opportunity to try out biking to get to the places that matter to you, but with the help of BikeArlington, free breakfast, and other goodies from local businesses,” Arlington County said in a release. “Plus, by registering, you’ll enter into raffles and are in line to receive this year’s collectible T-shirt.”
BikeArlington also has a bicycle comfort level map of Arlington showing with trails and paths around Arlington are most comfortable and which are not recommended.
For those who don’t have a bicycle but still want to participate, Capital Bikeshare is offering a $5 discount for the first ride for new riders from May 12-17 with offer code BTWD25 in the Capital Bikeshare app.
