A man is facing numerous charges after being arrested following a foot chase Friday night.
The chase happened around 10:30 p.m. in the Green Valley neighborhood, and went through the grounds of Drew Elementary School.
The suspect had an illegally modified gun and a “distribution amount” of marijuana, and was wanted on warrants out of Fairfax and Loudoun counties, according to Arlington County police.

WEAPONS VIOLATION (Significant), 2025-11210223, 3200 block of 24th Street S. At approximately 10:22 p.m. on November 21, officers observed the wanted male suspect walking outside and issued commands before he fled on foot onto nearby school property. Following a foot pursuit, the suspect was taken into custody in the area of S. Lowell Street and 22nd Street S. A modified semi-automatic firearm and extended magazine were recovered as well as a distribution amount of suspected narcotics. During the course of the investigation, the suspect was confirmed to be a convicted felon and had outstanding warrants out of Fairfax County, Va., Loudoun County, Va. and by the Virginia State Police and Arlington County Sheriff’s Office. [The suspect], 25, of Falls Church, Va. was arrested and charged with Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Possession of Ammunition by a Convicted Felon, Possession of a Weapon on School Grounds, Possession of a Trigger Activator, Carrying a Loaded Firearm In Public Areas Prohibited, Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana and Obstruction of Justice. He was served with the outstanding warrants and was held without bond.
